A letter,

I haven’t seen you for over 4 years, my dear friend. We used to study together, we were younger and motivated. We studied really hard, I know you did and we shared a camaraderie in doing that.I always thought of you like a brother. Comfortable and fun to be around.

We’ve both gone through a lot in the past few years, though we haven’t always kept in touch. It was nice to see you today. I can see your growth and how much and how fast you are growing even now. You’ve matured well. It was pleasant to see a young man, having been through the ups and downs of life, coming out of it stronger and with a greater appreciation for life. You said you love life and with the way you said it, so gleefully, I knew you meant it. That was so refreshing. You spoke with caution, choosing your words wisely and carefully in order to speak truthfully and there was understanding and patience in your eyes. It was nice to see you have become so strong and wise and humble and motivated..It’s not that you were not those things 4 years ago either. I always thought you had an amazing potential, positivity and an obvious intelligence and a delightful ease about you. I wish you the best my friend, I know you will do great, because like you said, we are already there. Only time is lagging, but we are already there, at the places we each dream about.

My dear friend I wish you health, wealth, peace and prosperity. I wish you wisdom and strength when troubles come, and oh they do come as we know now. We are better man and woman now that we’ve experienced the bitterness of life as the adults used to tell us. So I think you will agree we are all the more thankful because of them.

I am so thankful, that I could enjoy your company, where it was possible for me to ponder about appreciating and utilising the conditions of this life instead of complaining about it. Good moments are scarce, I won’t make the mistake of taking them for granted. I’ll remember them and cherish them to the best of my abilities.

All the best my friend, goodbye until next time.
